My favorite class in college was logic and I’ve decide to share some of the fallacies I learned about.. Once or twice a month I will post a fallacy, it’s definition and an example. If possible, the example will be one that has been used on me or the public. My hope is that by going over these readers will begin to recognize when someone is using a fallacy. I want to reacquaint myself with them, too.

Goodbye, for now
“Stop it, or I’ll start crying,” Susan said.
“But I want you to know how much I love the blanket you gave me,” I said.
I shared my love of her blanket just months before Susan Tuttle’s passing. She had a habit of giving me small presents, usually cat themed. My favorite is a leopard printed throw in unusual and bright colors. I curl up under that blanket most every time I sit in my lounge chair.
Susan and I enjoyed a great love of cats. Her last cat was an imaginary girl named PITA (pain in the ass), and I have six food-to-poop converters. I bet PITA didn’t throw up hairballs daily. I wonder if I could get an imaginary cat or cats.

Flourished Section Breaks
Space between paragraphs in a section break is sometimes accompanied by an asterism (either proper ⁂ or manual * * *), a…or other ornamental symbols. From Wikipedia. See link for additional information.
I’ve always used * * * for section breaks in prose or poetry. Recently, I was trying to find out if you left a blank line before and after the asterism in prose. Asterism was a new usage of the word asterisk to me. While doing research I came across the Wikipedia page and found out how very little I knew about breaks. And, yes it does appear that it is correct to place a blank line before and after the asterism.
My new favorite section break is called a fleuron a stylized forms of flowers or leaves. I have place three of them below.

Favorite YouTube Influencers
For the last three and half years I’ve had trouble sleeping at night. To keep me quietly occupied, I have developed the habit of watching YouTube videos and listening to them through my earphones. I’ve learned many things from these mostly much younger woman that are mothers and YouTube Influencers. They’ve showed me how to lessen my load around the house. I’ve tried many of the products they use and I like most of them.
